Learn how to create cinematics shoot that takes place in a photorealistic city using Unreal Engine 5.0
Epic Online Learning, the online education platform of Epic Games, has announced a new course titled “Supporting Photorealism through Cinematics”. The course teaches Unreal Engine Cinematics and how to create a cinematic shoot that takes place in a photorealistic city using Unreal Engine 5.0.
The course is designed for intermediate to advanced users who want to learn how to use Sequencer, the powerful cinematic tool in Unreal Engine, to create realistic and immersive scenes. The course covers topics such as camera movement, camera shake, rendering, and final touch-ups.
Meet the instructor
The course is taught by Indrajeet “Indy” Sisodiya, a senior compositor and Unreal environment artist at Pixomondo, a global visual effects company. Sisodiya has over eight years of experience in delivering high-quality visuals for film, TV, and commercials, such as Halo, Mandalorian, Star Trek, Fallout 4, Fast and Furious, and more. He is also a VFX mentor at Seneca College in Toronto and a recent Unreal Fellowship graduate.

The course is the second of two courses done in partnership with KitBash3D, a leading provider of 3D assets for digital art. The first course, “Designing Photoreal Environments for Cinematics”, teaches Unreal Engine Cinematography and how to create a realistic city environment using a Post-Process Volume and KitBash3D’s Neo City Mini Kit.

The course is available for free on the Epic Developer Community website. Users can also download the project files from KitBash3D to follow along with the course. The course has a running time of two hours and 16 minutes and consists of six modules.
